Vic Forrest drew throughout his childhood and youth. He went to art college and completed a BA in painting. That only led to him thinking he didn't want to follow an art career. While he never stopped drawing, he placed little value on the activity. About eight years ago during a stressful period Vic began painting, in his kitchen purely for himself. Artist friends encouraged him to get a studio and show his work. In 2013 Andrew Kotting selected Vic Forrest as one of two overall winners of the Cafe Gallery Annual Open.
